Africa is home to some of the most masculine men in the world. Something I take pride in. I’m an African woman. It is said culture surpasses classwork. You’re wondering who said it? Me. And I just wrote it. I was raised by and interacted with men that are laid back.My culture does not allow men enter the kitchen area. I kid you not, what we see on TV shows, that men are now entering labor rooms, cleaning clothes and getting groceries. That is women business. The men we have today cannot lure a chicken to the plate for a meal. They will run after it from Nairobi to Timbuktu.I have equally met men who believe masculinity is not taking a bath. That smelling like a cow’s shed is “manly”. That living in a curtainless house is what describes a solid man. That complementing your fellow gender is weakness. That men should not spread beds. Come on…It’s not okay that men get too involved in women business these days, but again not to get too messy with toxic masculinity. This is a huge topic of discussion that cannot fit in this article, but if I was asked to take a man’s identity, no thanks. I can’t help you. Being female is easier. Okay Bye
