But when you stick to a routine, your body knows exactly when to wind down and when to wake up, making mornings feel less like a battle and more like a fresh start.

4) They do something relaxing before bed

How you spend the last hour before sleep sets the tone for the next day. Happy people make it a habit to wind down with something that truly relaxes them—something that signals to their brain that it’s time to rest.

For some, it’s reading a book. For others, it’s meditation, gentle stretching, or listening to calming music. Whatever it is, the key is to slow down and step away from the chaos of the day

I’ve noticed that my happiest days don’t just happen—they start the night before. Before bed, I always try to plan something small to look forward to the next day.

It doesn’t have to be anything big. Sometimes it’s a favorite breakfast, a walk in the park, or setting aside time for a hobby I enjoy.

Happy people do this naturally. They give themselves little reasons to be excited about tomorrow, which keeps life from feeling like an endless cycle of work, stress, and routine. And honestly? It works.
